week 8

on Monday i learnt how to pop the ball up in volley ball i also learnt about semi colons and where the right places are to put them. Then on Tuesday we made paper airplanes in science we also learnt how to make this special cream to put on your shoes it makes them water proof you can test it by putting it on your hands.

On Thursday I learnt about multiplying and dividing decimals I also learnt that when dividing decimals you have to use something called a reciprocal then you just use multiplication. Lastly on Friday in science we had to make a octagonal pyramid that was 1 meter high and was free standing I learnt that it had to the right amount of weight other wise it fell down.

week 6

It has been a fun week we have been learning to use ratio in maths i figured out that it just fractions but wrote in a different way. In science Will and I have been making a marble to learn about forces we had to try and make our marble run have an average of 20 seconds our average was 14 seconds we learnt that when you give one force too much power the object rolls to fast or stays still. We also learnt about Isaac newton and how he called everything objects and if it was moving it was in motion and if it were still it was at rest. we also had winter sports i chose football as my sport we won each of our rounds 2-1 against Waikato 2-0 against Puniu and 2-0 against Mangapiko our house won winter sports. Go Waipa!!!!!

week 3 post

 From Wednesday to Thursday in week three we had the great opportunity of participating on band camp. Matamata middle school and Cambridge intermediate were there too we learnt 3 new pieces of music. we also learnt how to do equations with decimals in maths. In Maori we had to write a story about the Waikato river. In WIMS football practice we had a match against the girls WIMS team. We started to do science we did a experiment with teabags. We lit the top of the tea bags and they burnt up then at the last second it started to float upwards. 

term 2 week 2

In maths we were learning about unknown angles and revised a bit of geometry. We were learning how straight angles and triangles both have 180 degrees. Mike King came and gave us a lecture on depression he told us his life story. He also told us how he got over his addiction and became a comedian/ lecturer we all learnt what depression is and how to get help and how to help someone. We finish of some writing. In band we learnt some new songs including Micky mouse march and supercalafragilisticexpialadocious. We continued to work on our trucks in wood work and learnt to use filler. In writing we learnt about sentence fragments and run on sentences.

week 6

last week we had some people from go Waipa come in to teach us about water safety they bought in a little inflatable boat and other equipment such as stuff you will need on a boat like a flare a horn and other equipment they also had an emergency rope I learn quite a lot. There were some exchange students who came into this school from Makahari japan in our class we have 4 students who are staying for 10 more days. I have improved in my sewing  and have started to make the last touches on my bag in tech arts.     

sorry about late update

I am going to fill you in on my last two weeks last week we had our inter school swimming competition we had many great swimmers I have also started to pick up the euphonium and am not the worst at it if I do say so myself just last Friday we had our school swimming competition over the past few weeks we have been learning about the treaty of Waitangi and the controversy of this competition this was just a little up date on my past few weeks,Quin. 

Week 2 has been great we have done many things we hand inter house minor games and have done tech arts and sewed a soft tennis ball

My first week  at intermediate is almost over so far it has been loads of fun and looking forward to the rest of the year and and all the opportunities that will come my way
